PHOTO VEHICLE
Option 1 : Shared basis
In this scenario each sleeping area is booked out separately. Guests choosing this option will have their own sleeping area, they will be sharing the hide and common areas with another couple/single who will occupy the second sleeping area.

Rate: $450 per person sharing per night.

Single rate: $650 per sleeping area- which guarantees the guests their own sleeping area.
Option 2 – Exclusive use
The hide can be booked on an exclusive use basis. This can be booked for a single person up to a maximum of 4 guests plus 1 guide. Consideration will be given on a “per request” basis where no guide is accompanying the guests, and they would like to bring 5 people.
• Rate: $1600 for the hide per night.
Note:

If 2 couples book, the total rate charged will total $1800 per night. Exclusive use is $1600 per night and a
saving of $200 per night for using the exclusive use rate.

Guests who have booked the Photo Vehicle and wish to use the Lala Limpopo hide will receive a 50% discount on the exclusive use of hide.

Price Per day - maximum 4 pax, but ideally suited to 2 pax. This includes 1 optional tutor session per day & 1 x hide session subject to availability upon booking. For dates 1 December - 1 June each year “book 3 days, pay 2” and “book 4 days, pay 3” special on photo vehicle.)
CONDITIONS OF USE
Matebole Hide:
Exclusive use is for groups or single photographers who would like the hides for their own private use. If you are a group of 8 photographers or more it is more cost effective to use the exclusive use rate than the per person rate.

All guests using the hide must be accompanied by a PhotoMashatu wildlife photographer.

Should the PhotoMashatu wildlife photographer be unavailable, guests of Mashatu can utilize the hides, at the normal rate in the company of a Mashatu guide.

We recommend that photographic hides are pre-booked prior to guests arrival.

No children under the age of 12 permitted in the hides unless booked for exclusive use.

Guests will be required to sign an indemnity form before using the hides. This is separate to the Mashatu indemnity.

All the hides are seasonal and activity may change due to a climatic, or other reasons.

Maximum number of guests per hide is 8.

PhotoMashatu cancellation terms apply to all PhotoMashatu products. Copy is available on request.

Lala Limpopo Sleep-out hide:
The sleep-out hide is booked on an exclusive use basis only and the price quoted is for the entire hide for up to 4 guests and an accompanying tour guide.

The PhotoMashatu vehicle is available all year round.

Drones or UAV’s: Please note that the flying of drones at Mashatu is not permissible anywhere in Botswana without a special permit from the Civil Aviation Authority Botswana and the Department of Wildlife and National Parks. Please ensure that written authority from Mashatu Management is granted before applying for the permits.
